(english below) Das Schraibfela Fanzine hat zusammen mit verschiedenen Interviewpartner*innen den Versuch einer Antwort gewagt, warum immer noch alles so schwierig ist. "Eigentlich sagt es ja schon viel aus, dass es wirklich nötig ist, einen Clip nur über Frauen im Punk zu machen."

Sexismus im Punk. Ein Kommentar, den wir Euch ans Herz legen wollen:

Dies ist ein sehr treffender Kommentar von Diana Ringelsiep, den wir aber gerne ergänzen wollen: ES GIBT SEHR VIELE mega gute Punk-Bands, in denen Frauen und nicht nur Cis-Männer spielen! Wir denken nicht, dass man dafür extra eine Newcomer*innen/Anfänger*innen-Bühne einrichten muss (können kann man ja immer. Neue Bands, die gerade starten, zu unterstützen ist immer gut!)

Auf unserer Suche für das Femme Rebellion Fest haben wir mittlerweile so viele echt geile und professionell auftretende Bands gefunden! Also bitte, nicht mehr dahinter verstecken, dass es angeblich nicht genügend gäbe. Allein z.B. Disaster Jacks, die letztes Mal bei uns gespielt haben, sind sowohl musikalisch als auch vom Auftreten her 1000x besser als jemand wie z.b. "die Kassierer".

Natürlich werden die Bands, die ständig gebucht werden, eher bekannt als die, die nicht gebucht werden, und so lange die Veranstalter*innen zu feige sind, um Neues zu wagen, wird sich da nichts ändern (wir haben bis jetzt sehr gute Erfahrungen damit gemacht: DIE LEUTE WOLLEN ES!)

Wir werden bspw. immer mal wieder gefragt, ob wir bereit wären, bei Festivals mit Vorschlägen zur Seite zu stehen, damit man Bands mit Frauen*-Beteiligung im Programm hat. Aber leider kam es, trotz unserer sehr herzlichen Zusagen, noch nie zu einer Zusammenarbeit. Also so gross ist das Interesse leider doch nicht.

Übrigens gibt es auf unserer Seite Links zu allen Bands, die je bei uns gespielt haben. Vielleicht schon mal als "Starter-Kit" gar nicht mal so schlecht... ;-) Allesamt gut genug für eine "richtige" Bühne auf jedem Festival! Ausserdem sind wir dabei eine Link-Liste zusammen zu stellen, von all den Bands, die wegen zu wenig Kapazitäten, bei uns noch nicht spielen konnten, aber wir sehr geil finden.

Kleiner Hinweis am Rande: im Molotow in Hamburg spielen z.B. sehr viele gemischte Bands, aus aller Welt (wie z.B. The Guilt, Brutus, Petrol Girls, Decibelles, ...), die auch im "Mainstream" unterwegs sind, Agenturen haben, Platten rausgebracht haben etc. Wirf einfach auch mal einen Blick da rein!

In diesem Sinne: bleib neugierig, und offen für Neues!

This is a very accurate comment by Diana Ringelsiep, to which we would like to add: THERE ARE A LOT of great punk bands in which women and not just cis-men play!

We don't think that you have to set up a newcomer/beginner's stage for this (however, that´s something you can always do. Supporting new bands that are just starting is always good!)

On our research for the Femme Rebellion Fest we have found so many really cool and professional bands! So please, don't hide behind the "fact" that there are supposedly not enough. Alone e.g. Disaster Jacks, who played at The Femme Rebellion Fest last yea..ups time, are 1000 times better than someone like e.g. "Die Kassierer".

Of course, the bands that are constantly booked are better known than those that are not booked, and as long as the organizers are too cowardly to dare to try something new, nothing will change about this (we have had very good experiences with it so far: PEOPLE WANT IT!)

For example, we are asked again and again whether we would be willing to support festivals with suggestions so that bands with women* participation are in the program. But unfortunately, despite our very warm answers, it never came to a cooperation. So, as it seems, the interest is not that great. By the way, our site has links to all the bands that have ever played at our fest. Maybe as a "starter kit" not so bad ... ;-) All of them good enough for a "real" stage at every festival! We are also in the process of putting together a list of links of all the bands that have not yet been able to play with us due to insufficient capacity, but we think they are really cool.

A little note: in the Molotow in Hamburg, e.g. you can enjoy a lot of mixed bands, from all over the world (such as The Guilt, Brutus, Petrol Girls, Decibelles, ...) who are also in the "mainstream" world, have agencies, have released records etc. Just have a look there sometime! With this in mind: stay curious and open to new ideas!
